I am a Ph.D. student in the Intelligent Systems Program at University of Pittsburgh. I work with Dr. Shandong Wu from Pitt and co-advised by Dr. Chen Chen from CRCV group at University of Central Florida on applying machine learning and computer vision to medical imaging domains. Some topics I am interested in include federated learning, curriculum learning and medical knowledge-guided deep learning.

Prior to Pitt, I received my M.S. in Electrical Engineering at University of Southern California as an Honors Fellow. I did my B.E. in Electrical Engineering and Automation at Huazhong University of Science and Technology.

During my free time, I enjoy playing Go, an ancient Chinese chess game, with my wife or with KataGo. I also play the piano for fun, for which my ultimate goal is to be able to perform Beethoven Moonlight Sonata (Op.27 No.2) 3rd Mov. before I finish my Ph.D.
